Hi, I'm Molly.

I believe that relationships are central to our well-being. Yet even the most loving relationships can become places where we feel misunderstood, hurt, or disconnected. My work is rooted in helping people understand the patterns that shape their relationships and discover new ways of connecting—with others and with themselves.

My Story

My path to becoming a relationship counselor grew out of my own curiosity about love, connection, and the ways relationships shape our lives.

Like many people, I have experienced both the beauty and the difficulty of relationships. I’ve known what it feels like to feel deeply connected to others, and I’ve also experienced the pain of disconnection, misunderstanding, and heartbreak. I’ve witnessed these dynamics within my own family as well—seeing how easily people who care about one another can become caught in patterns of distance, hurt, or silence.

These experiences left me with a lot of questions. Why do we sometimes hurt the people we love the most? Why do certain patterns repeat themselves in relationships? And what helps people find their way back to connection?

Those questions led me to graduate school, where I chose to specialize in couples and family counseling. Early in my career, I worked closely with children and families in schools and community programs. I loved supporting young people, but I quickly realized that lasting change often required working with the entire relational system surrounding them. Helping children thrive meant helping parents and caregivers strengthen their relationships as well.

Over time, this realization deepened my commitment to relational work. Today, much of my work focuses on helping individuals and couples better understand the patterns that shape their relationships and create new ways of connecting with one another.

My Approach

I approach therapy as a collaborative and compassionate process. My hope is to create a space where you feel safe to slow down, reflect, and explore your experiences with curiosity rather than judgment. Together we explore the relational patterns and emotional experiences that shape your connections with others and with yourself.

My work is grounded in an attachment-focused perspective. With couples, I draw primarily from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an approach that helps partners understand emotional patterns and create stronger, more secure connections.

With individuals, I integrate Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help people explore their inner experiences and develop greater self-understanding and self-compassion.

My work is also influenced by mindfulness practices and humanistic, person-centered therapy, which support slowing down, increasing awareness, and approaching ourselves with compassion and care.

Education & Training

I received my Master of Science and Education Specialist (MS/EdS) degrees in Counseling, with a concentration in Couple and Family Counseling, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2013. This program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors.

I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based approach to counseling that helps individuals and couples understand emotional patterns and strengthen their relationships. My training includes the EFT Externship and Core Skills, as well as additional training in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). These trainings continue to shape the way I help people understand their emotional experiences and create more secure, connected relationships.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside of my work, I’m a mama, a partner, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. The relationships in my life continue to shape and ground me in meaningful ways.

I love spending time in nature, seeing live music, practicing mindfulness, swimming, and simply playing and being present with the people I love. I’m also someone who is endlessly curious—I love birds and books, creative arts, and learning new things. At heart, I’m a lifelong learner, a community builder, and someone who believes deeply in the power of connection.

Let's Connect.

If you’re considering therapy and wondering whether we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out. I’d be honored to support you in your journey toward deeper connection and understanding.

Thank you for your message.

I look forward to connecting with you.
